Waste reduction?
A natural choice.
We are convinced that the health and safety of our personnel and of the local community are fundamentally important, and we are committed to taking a positive approach towards ecosustainability. For this reason, we work tirelessly to reduce processing residues to a minimum, facilitating the recycling of material at every opportunity. Moreover, we reduce the amount of waste produced and sent to landfill, and we monitor every phase of our manufacturing processes to that end.
Emissions.
An issue that is always under control.
We periodically monitor the emissions that we generate, in order to ensure that they remain constantly within the legal limits. Thanks to state-of-the-art filtering systems, we are gradually reducing our level of emissions. Moreover, on an ongoing basis, we monitor the raw materials that we use and the associated suppliers, conducting regular checks on the finished products, too.
Certifications
Savar is proud to be certified as compliant with the ISO9001 quality standard and with the ISO45001 standard, thus guaranteeing the implementation of an effective and efficient health and safety management system. We are also setting out on the path towards the attainment of ISO 14001 environmental certification, demonstrating our constant commitment to sustainable practices and the protection of the environment.
Sostenibility in Action
The life cycle of our materials
In our production process, every material is re-used within the cycle. The pieces that have not yet been fired are reinserted into the production cycle, reducing waste to a minimum. The pieces that, in contrast, have already been fired, are given a new lease of life as material for fireplaces and barbecues. We generate no industrial waste and our environmental impact is close to zero. We use methane-gas furnaces, in which the gases are reused and burned again before being emitted – an obligation to which we adhere very strictly, with a view to reducing our emissions yet further. Compliance with the RoHS 3 Directive.
Following the implementation of Delegated Directive EU 2015/863, we introduced new substances to the list of Directive 2011/65/UE (RoHS 3). This legislation sets out provisions concerning the restriction on the use of hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment, contributing to efforts to safeguard the health both of human beings and of the environment, and helping to ensure the eco-compatible recovery and disposal of the waste produced by such equipment.
On the basis of the declarations of our suppliers, we can confirm that all the ceramic products we manufacture and market fall within the maximum concentration limits for hazardous substances, as set out in the RoHS 3 Directive. This commitment enables us to guarantee the supply to our clients of safe and sustainable products that respect current regulations and, moreover, play their part in fostering a greener future.
