How is a custom ceramic created?
Every project begins by listening to the client, understanding their needs, and through close collaboration, leading to the creation of high-quality, custom-made ceramics.

Whether projects are already defined with a detailed technical drawing or to be developed from scratch, we carefully assess the feasibility of the ideas, considering any necessary modifications to improve the design, make production more efficient and cost-effective and ensure that the final result meets all technical and commercial requirements. We define the characteristics of the piece, such as shape and size, and create custom ceramic mixtures to meet specific needs together.

The design phase is the first step of our production process, which is structured into several stages aimed at ensuring both the quality and customization of the final product as well as the workflow. Before proceeding with production, we create prototypes through mechanical processing, which involves producing a custom mold and shaping the piece from a solid block or cylinder. This approach allows us to visualize the piece’s design and meticulously verify its proportions and features.

Prototyping and quality for more efficient and cost-effective production.

From Virtual to Reality.

Through 3D prototyping, we can create a three-dimensional model of the product, showing its real dimensions and characteristics. The 3D prototype not only highlights the aesthetics but also allows us to test its ergonomics, ensuring it meets expectations perfectly. This gives us the opportunity to make any necessary adjustments before the production phase.

To achieve optimal performance even in the most demanding production conditions, we create molds from hardened metal with inserts made from hard metal, such as Widia or cemented carbide, ensuring high resistance to abrasion and mechanical stress. Before commencing the actual production phase, if requested by the customer, we build samples of the final piece to test its quality and functional characteristics, ensuring that each ceramic piece produced is perfectly suited to every specific requirement.

The transformation of ceramics: from pressing to extrusion.

The production process of ceramics can be carried out using two main techniques, chosen based on the characteristics of the piece and the type of processing required.
Ideal for creating pieces with defined shapes and compact structures, pressing involves placing ceramic powders or granules into a mold to achieve the desired form. Once completed, the finished piece is extracted from the mold and is ready for any subsequent processing or firing stages.

For complex profiles or elongated shapes, we utilize the extrusion method. In this process, the material is transformed and pushed through an extruder, which defines the final shape of the piece. Both pressing and extrusion processes enable us to achieve high-quality results, with characteristics tailored to meet specific technical and functional requirements.

Quality, quick responses, and timely deliveries.
Our internal management of all production phases allows us to significantly accelerate processing times without compromising quality. From mold design to the production of final pieces, each step is optimized to provide quick, high-quality solutions, ensuring faster production times and an efficient response to every need for our customers.
